R U OK? Day

R U OK? Day is a national day of action that advocates for people to start a conversation with those around them who may be struggling.

In Week 9, students were asked to particularly focus on their wellbeing, which was the theme in Homeroom and the Schols Create Challenges.

During these uncertain times, those around you could be struggling more than you know. Take action now and check in on your friends and family with what may seem like three simple words, “are you ok?” - three big words that could change a life. R U OK? Day is also a reminder that every day is the right day to ask someone how they are feeling.

The R U OK? organisation recommend the following four steps to start and have a conversation that could change a life:

1. Ask R U OK?

2. Listen

3. Encourage action

4. Check in
